Shilpa Shetty on the sets of movie 'The Desire- a Journey of a Woman'

The Indo-Chinese film is about a group of Odissi dancers, with the main focus on a young dancer Goutami - the character which Shilpa Shetty portrays. The film revolves around Goutami's journey and her encounter with a Chinese artist Jai Leang - played by Xia Yu. Shilpa Shetty was tight-lipped when discussing the film, saying that she did not want to divulge too many details. But from the things she did say, you can tell that she is very excited to be involved with the project. She called the experience of being able to play the character Goutami 'a wonderful role that her capable director has given her.' She calls the film 'one of the most beautifully written romances.' And Shilpa Shetty is not the only actor excited to be involved in the making of the film. Her fellow co-stars who were interviewed were echoing her sentiments about the experience. Xia Yu - who plays Shilpa Shetty's love interest - had nothing but wonderful things to say about the actors he has worked with. He states that so far the experience has been very good and the people are very nice. He described his co-stars as being trusting and very professional. When asked about Shilpa Shetty, he called her a great and nice girl.

Fellow co-star Sheetal Menon, had a lot of amazing things to say about the film and the character which she has the privilege of playing. Sheetal Menon is portraying a fellow Odissi dancer in the village. She discusses the troubles that her character faces throughout the film. As she says, her character is 'frustrated with a lot of things in life and there are a lot of things that she has been let down by in life.' While the character she plays in the film goes through some hardships, the actress has faced absolutely no hardships while filming.
